On March 15, Hakka Cultural Park of Gan County became a sea of joy. A grand opening ceremony of China (Ganzhou) Hakka Eco-cultural Tourism Festival & Cherry Blossom Festival was held here for purpose of boosting the tourism brand of "The World's Cradle of Hakka, The Promised Land of Leisure and Health". Wang Ping, Deputy Party Chief and Mayor of Ganzhou, announced the opening. City leaders Wang Zhaoyou, Luo Bingfeng, Peng Guanghua, Tang Yuying, Pan Qile, and others attended the ceremony.

The China (Ganzhou) Hakka Eco-cultural Tourism Festival & Cherry Blossom Festival was co-sponsored by Ganzhou Municipal Tourism Bureau and Gan County People's Government. These activities are important to create a famous card of eco-Ganzhou and build a strong tourist city, and are significant to promote the tourism industry of Ganzhou. During the festivals, there are various activities. From March 15 to 17, the kick-off ceremony of "Ganzhou City People Tour Gan County", "Love in Romantic Cherry Blossom Festival" -- Group Wedding for 100 Pairs of Bride and Bridegroom, "Charming Gan County" -- Field Trip of Hundred Famous Calligraphers, Painters & Photographers, Hakka tea-picking opera performances and large-scale travel trade and Hakka Food Festival, Cherry Blossom Photography & Painting Competition, etc. are being held or to be held to promote Gan County's unique eco-culture and tourism resources and share the splendid Hakka culture.

It is informed that all the activities of the festivals will last throughout the year, including "Happy Lantern Festival in Chinese New Year, Cycling Tour Chutan Town", "A Pleasure Trip to Peach Blossom Island in Hujiang Town", Activity of Public Memorial Ceremony for Hakka Ancestors, opening and closing ceremonies for key tourism projects, large-scale folk show, "Elixir of Love"--Mid-Autumn Festival Concert, Jujube Picking in Xiahu Ancient Village & Bayberry Picking in Jibu Town, the opening ceremony of Xiahu Ancient Village in Hujiang Town and so on. During this period, there will be root-carving art, wonder stone, calligraphy & painting & photography, tea culture, wine culture, etc. a series of exhibition activities.

After the opening ceremony, the participants also took part in the large-scale festival celebrations in Hakka Celebrity Park (Splendid Cherry Blossom).
