The storage technology is found out in long-term practice by the people engaged in fruit collection, processing and marketing in Chetou Town, Anyuan County. They invested 500,000 yuan in building a simple storehouse in Chetou Town last year, which conserves navel oranges valued 5 million yuan at present. By calculation, the simple storage technology may save 40% cost than traditional methods, and it is also suitable for storing other citrus fruits. Ordinary farms and farmers are able to master and use it easily.
