On August 9, 2009, 2009 China.Ganzhou (Shangyou) Eco-tourism Culture Festival was started formally in Shangyou County. "One theme for one month" series activities will be put forth from August to December.

Wang Ping (Vice Secretary of Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Ganzhou), Luo Bingfeng (the Standing Committee Member of Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Ganzhou), Peng Guanghua (the Standing Committee Member of Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda Department of Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee) and other leaders attended the opening ceremony.

It is learned that the festival is sponsored by Ganzhou People's Government and cooperated by Shangyou County People's Government and Ganzhou Tourism Department. With "go to green Shangyou, feel eco-civilization" as the theme, it is aimed to highlight the beautiful natural scenery, Hakka rural culture, Hakka marriage customs and other characteristics.

From August to December, "one theme for one month" series activities will run on. The main activities will be taken on November 6-8, including Jiangxi-Guangdong-Fujian Root & Stone Arts Expo, Shangyou Mountain Bike Invitational Tournament, the homebound sodality of "love with Shangyou", trade negotiation and signing and the opening ceremony of Doushui Lake Jingming Resort, etc. (Reporter Wang Changjie)
